Capacity
How It Works
How much water can it filter?
At least 300L of drinking water. That's over 100 days of full use! Lifespan depends on the solid particles in the water.
Does the water taste okay?
Yes, the activated carbon improves taste, and silver self-cleans.
What comes with the straw?
An 50cm extension straw and mesh carry bag.
What comes with the bottle?
A Tritan plastic water bottle and silicone straw adaptor
How do I know when it needs replacing?
The filter will naturally block up over time until it can no longer be drank through. So you know you will always be drinking safe water.

Tried this for the first time today. Love its simplicity and the tube extension makes it very versatile.
C
I tried it out for the first time today and it did not disappoint. It’s foolproof, lightweight, easy to drink out of and takes up no space. It was a great purchase!

I am working in a country with developing infrastructure. Kea Awa has been a health saver and an eco conscious choice so I don't add to the waste by using bottled water. It is a product to feel good with and about.
F
Would be great if you could use the filter in situations where you need water for cooking whilst camping. A larger 2 litre or more container / bag where you can connect the filter and squeeze the bag to fill up a billy would be great.
A
Great gear. Just wish it came with instructions how to use it properly

Great bottle for the wild
G
Straw seems OK, but the bottle is just another plastic bottle. Work well together though.
J
I bought the straw as a gift for my wife to use for her tramping trips and it was ok, but then I got her the bottle to go with it and the two combined have made water collection and drinking so much easier for her when in the go!!
S
Great little gadget, easy to use. Still have to test on long hike but so far very happy
A
Awesome product. Very light
K
We finally got to use these on our Routeburn Track walk. It was so much easier just carrying this with the bottle and filling up our water along the track than having to carry a heavy bladder the whole way. Having the option of drinking directly with the straw was cool too.

Purchased a straw and bottle for upcoming India trip awesome product great service and communication.
J
Great filter. Fast water flow. Only downside is bottle too wide to fit in any bottle holders eg in car. Also not good fit in my pack bottle holder and slipped out as top heavy. Donated to my daughter so she is happy!
S
This little straw will wont take up much space in my pack and provide so much comfort to know that I can drink from any water source - no more thirst worries - yay!
G
Great gift to say thanks! My friends really loved it, and can't wait to go on their tramp with them! Thanks guys!

I've just given this as a gift to my brother for xmas and it went down so so well! He's an avid hiker and knows his gear really well, I on the other hand did a lot of research before landing on this as his gift and he loved it! thank you so much for your very quick delivery and an overall easy experience through your site!
T
Used it a few times to test it out well I was out hunting the other day, worked as expected definitely 100x better than the crappy one I got from temu haha would 100% recommend

These water purification straws are not just for camping and hiking, they should be a must in all emergency kits. So easy to use. A no brainier really.

It’s a very stylish product though sometimes I feel it’s very difficult to suck water out of it.
G
Perfect so far
B
Love the clear lines of this water bottle. Really well designed and useful including self contained handle and easy to add KEA filter straw. I’m definitely taking this on my next outdoor adventure!
K
Intend using it on the Te Araroa Cape Reinga to Hamilton sections. Used the filter from Hamilton to Bluff so am very excited to have the bottle to try it out.
W
Great bottle !! Hunted in the Tarawera’s for this week. Have you thought about a soft pouch option ? As carrying a bottle can be bulky for the big hikes into the hills and your up 900 metres from the rivers
J
Used bottle and straw on the Kern River, while fishing. Worked great!
One question: what is recommendation for maintaining straw/filter?
Thanks.
