The next-gen nano filtration means you can drink from anywhere without worry. Ensuring you don't get sick from water impurities.
The AWA includes an extension straw so you can easily drink from any water source or vessel.
Ultralight & compact design to be sure it's always by your side. Includes mesh carry bag for easy carry.
I used this on the Rees Dart, drinking directly from creeks contaminated by cattle upstream. It’s light, compact, and most importantly cheap. An excellent wallet-friendly filter.
I am old and my knees aren’t good, so I am not keen on crouching down to drink beside a stream. So I took my mug and dipped it, then drank through the filter from the mug.
THE GOOD: Light, small, wallet-friendly, and you’ll be supporting a local South Island business.
THE NOT SO GOOD: If you want to make up some powdered milk for breakfast, you’re out of luck. There’s no way to get water from the straw filter without suction from your mouth.
THE JUDGEMENT: I will definitely use this again and again. To be honest I would prefer the best water filter on the market, maybe a $200 Ferarri of filters. But this Awa filter straw is like a Toyota Corolla. Dependable and affordable.
Great product, and so compact. Fits in any hiking bag, works perfectly thanks Kea.
Interesting gizmo. It is small enough to carry and yet does the job. So a useful drinking straw at an affordable price. The flint spark maker works quite impressively. Cheers
